Testimonials

"At Aquinas College all our portable machines are Festool. We have selected these tools ( router, sanders, jigsaws, dust extractors etc) so that we can have an integrated system of tools. The quality of Festool is very high and we try to teach the students to go for quality and safety of machines if they are to buy them in the future.

All the tools are easy to use with excellent cutting properties. The tools are ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hands of the students. The tools have lasted a long time with no problems and each year we buy another tool from Festool to build up our selection of equipment.

I recommend Festool to buy as they are reliable and high quality tools to use in schools."
Jim Finlayson, Construction Teacher, Design and technology and VET Building, Aquinas College.

"Dust is the bane of a woodwork teacher's life. The two Festool mobile dust extractors in our workshops have revolutionised the air quality in our workshops as well as improving the performance of tools connected to them. The two most popular Festool gadgets in our workshop are the orbital sanders and the saw and rail system.

The saw and rail system allows our students to break down a 2400 x 1200mm sheet by themselves with unparalleled accuracy. Cutting perfect mitres on 600 wide x 40mm thick mahogany is a fantastic achievement. The 2700mm long rail is a perfect straight edge and allows students to cut true lines when making widening joints for tabletops (no planing required).

The secret of the sanders is the dedicated extraction system that quickly removes the dust from the work surface before it clogs the sanding pads. The end result is a dust free sanding room and a silky smooth finish. Festool have proven to be one of our best investments. "
Chris Clark, Teacher, NSW Industrial Arts School and Editor of Australian Woodsmith.
